To celebrate Black History Month, this years spotlight will be on Leontyne Price. She is an extraordinary opera singer and below you can watch a performance and listen to one of her famous recordings.
I was asked to
review a beautifully illustrated picture book about Ms. Price. We will
read it in class this week and she will be added to our African American
biography cards. To read my review of Leontyne Price: Voice of a Century click HERE.
Here is a copy of the added card.
A big 'Thank You' to I'd So Rather Be Reading for this addition to our classroom and to Miss Bailleaux for creating the biography card.
